A New Dawn for UK Equities?

Say it quietly… after years in the doldrums, could the UK stock market finally be back in the game?

2025 saw a major resurgence, with returns well over 20%, comfortably ahead of the US market poster child.  The momentum continued into 2026, with the FTSE 100 powering past the psychological 10,000 barrier. Political focus, a revival in old economy sectors, from financials to industrials and energy, and gradually returning flows have all contributed to this positive sentiment.

But is this a new dawn, or a false one?

In our panel, we welcome leading UK Equity portfolio managers Alex Wright of Fidelity and Ben Needham of Ninety One to share their insights. There’s much to discuss:

  • Hidden value in unloved sectors: Which traditional areas are finally commanding attention?

  • The reform agenda: Policy suggestions to cement the UK’s market revival

  • Small caps, big potential: Exploring opportunity in future leaders

  • Global leadership:  The sectors where the UK shows true it’s true potential

We are also joined by leading researchers and multi-asset portfolio managers Sophie Outhwaite and Matt Stanesby to provide the client perspective.
