We also explore our female participation can be improved and tips and tricks for women joining or progressing in the industry.

Emerging Markets

The Fourth in our series held in November 2022 focused on Emerging Markets.

We explored career journeys with Ada Chan of JO Hambro Capital ManagementJitania Kandhari of Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Jo Holden of Mercer.

In the second part of the event, we had incisive presentations from Ada Chan on why top down macro country research is essential in emerging market equity portfolio management and from Jitania Kandhari on the case for Emerging Markets (ex China) portfolio management as China increasingly dominates EM indexes.

Enhancing Diversity

In the 3rd event in our series, held in June 2022 we focused on enhancing diversity in asset management.

Emily Chew of Morgan Stanley Investment Management responsible investment specialist affiliate, Calvert Research & Management, presented on the benefits of investing in companies with leadership in DE&I and explain how they have put this into practice in developing the Calvert Sustainable Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Fund.

Our panel of female investment leaders included Geri McMahon, co-head of Responsible Investment at Aon and Rima Sen, Director of Credit Research, and DEI lead at wtw.
